Quality and differences between cell salts

There are many types of Schüssler Cell Salts, each with its own method of preparation and unique properties. Our types - from Adler Pharma and Vitazouten - meet high quality standards, and both calcium behenate and magnesium stearate are safely used as binders.

1. Homeopathic Diluted Cell Salts

The first category of cell salts follows the traditional homeopathic principle of diluting and shaking. In this process, the mineral is first diluted and then shaken vigorously, which determines its "potency," such as D6 or D12. This repeated process makes these salts stimulants, which stimulate the body by providing an energetic boost. However, if there are already deficiencies in the cell, a homeopathic cell salt may not be as effective, because the stimulant is effective only when sufficient building blocks are present. This type can sometimes trigger mild symptoms in healthy users that correspond to the salt's action. An example of this is Pfluger - which we do not sell. 

2. Diluted Cell Salts according to Dr. Schüssler's Method

The second type of cell salts follows Dr. Schüssler's biochemical principles. Instead of shaking, the minerals are rubbed with a carrier (such as lactose), allowing them to be easily absorbed by the body and replenish the mineral balance in the cell. Weathered cell salts act as a supportive mineral and not an irritant, and are safe in higher daily doses.

3. Various Binders: Calcium Behenate and Magnesium Stearate

Adler Pharma cell salts contain calcium behenate as a binder, while Vita salts magnesium stearate use. Both binders are safe and have long been used in the dietary supplement industry. The difference in binder affects the structure of the tablet, method of dissolution, and absorption:

• Calcium behenate (Adler Pharma) allows the tablets to melt a little faster in the mouth, which can help with smoother ingestion and absorption. Because calcium behenate is soft and rapidly soluble, it is ideal for people who prefer melting tablets.

• Magnesium stearate (Vitazouten) makes the tablets melt a little slower, but it is also completely safe and has the advantage that the body can easily absorb the active ingredients. Because of the efficient absorption, lower doses are usually sufficient, which increases user-friendliness.

Magnesium stearate can help Vita salts absorb just a little differently, which may actually be beneficial for some users. Both binders offer the same quality, and the choice between calcium behenate or magnesium stearate does not affect the effectiveness of the minerals. Both are gluten-free, safe for daily use and support the body's mineral balance.

4. In powder form: Sonnenmineral 

Our blends are in powder form, and sourced from Sonnenmineral. There are no binders in these. The only addition is lactose, which is the carrier of the cell salts. Powders are unfortunately not lactose-free for this reason.
