Introduction
One of the people who intensively studied minerals in the human body in the nineteenth century was Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schüssler. His research led to the development of his own method of healing, which works with the mineral salts (cell salts) as they are present in the body.
Dr. Schüssler was a homeopathic physician. He searched for a simple way of healing and to this end he began to thoroughly investigate disturbances, which we call diseases. He discovered that most diseases can be traced back to a shortage of mineral salts. And this was a very specific deficiency: a deficiency within the cell. Schüssler came to the realization that the health of the cell, and therefore the health of the body, is created by replenishing these deficiencies. He even went further: "To prevent damage and to make the cell salts directly absorbable by the cells, they must be potentized (diluted)."
The cell salts according to Dr. Schüssler contain mineral salts so diluted (diluted) that they can be directly absorbed by the cell. Mineral salts, which are given undiluted, can be a strain on the body, like e.g. concentrated calcium, magnesium or iron supplements. If these are taken for too long, this can potentially lead to unwanted side effects, as the body cannot process the substances properly and deposits them e.g. in the form of kidney stones. Diluted minerals, however, can be absorbed by the body into the cells without any problems. The cell salts can pass through extremely small openings in the cell wall. Dilution also makes it impossible to ingest too much of these minerals. For comparison, 1 liter of mineral water contains about 1000 mg (=1g) of dissolved minerals. If someone wants to take the same amount of Schüssler cell salts in D6 dilution, he or she would have to take 1 ton (1000kg) of cell salt tablets. In dilution lies also the action of the Schüssler minerals. This allows them to be absorbed directly into the cell and does not have to go through the process of metabolism. The replenishment of deficiencies is the main principle of action. The mineral salt molecules, because they are available in the milk sugar as individual molecules, can be directly absorbed and used by the body. Note that the cell salts are made with lactose and not magnesium stearate. This is because the magnesium stearate blocks the absorption of the cell salts when you take three a day or more.
The minerals in the body.
In the following section you can read about the general biochemical action of the minerals (mineral salts) in the body. The Schüssler cell salts are based on these minerals. The mineral salt is present in very highly diluted (rubbed) form in lactose tablets. The cell salts support the functioning of the body.

Cell salt 1: Calcium fluoratum (D12)
Features:
This mineral is responsible for the elasticity of connective tissue and acts on ligaments, tissues, vessels and muscles as well as on tooth enamel and bone surfaces. If this mineral is missing, it leads to strains that cannot be repaired or gives hardening that does not regain flexibility. The surface protective horn dust (keratin) is bound by Calcium fluoratum. In case of deficiency, this comes to the surface and calluses are formed.
Character:
The Calcium fluoratum gives you the ability to protect yourself, so you no longer need to put walls around yourself. The energy of the Calcium fluoratum is released when you relax, making protection unnecessary. Especially good, when you always have to make a good impression and therefore start to stiffen and freeze and feel that your existence is constantly threatened. Calcium fluoratum is especially important when you have become too rigid due to too fixed viewpoints. Here the Calcium fluoratum helps you to let go of this rigid identity, especially when this has to do with the feeling that you are being attacked too quickly. It also gives you confidence in your own life. Calcium fluoratum has to do with hardening, both physically and mentally. She makes you flexible, both of body and mind, gives resilience and strengthens muscles. Among other things, Calcium fluoratum works on the outside and that is on all movements related to hot and cold, opening and closing (flat feet, calluses, cracks).
Application:
Calluses, horn dust (especially on the heels), skin clefts, tendon knots, flat feet, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, caries, bad fingernails, ankles falling inward, tendon strain (abnormally movable joints), loose teeth, cavities in teeth.
Organ time: 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. - 3-time heater.
Cell salt 2: Calcium phosphoricum (D6)
Features:
This mineral is the most important bone-building agent, forming dentin (the inside of teeth) and is also a blood-building agent that provides for the production of proteins and cells. In the body it is used for the neutralization of acids and is further an important building agent that can be used after illness.
Character:
Calcium phosphoricum is related to existence itself. The path from effort to letting go. It gives confidence in one's own strength and abilities. The demands of the outer world are so high that the inner world cannot cope. Calcium phosphoricum makes you cope and gives you backbone. This is a cell salt for manifestation, when you are struggling to accomplish something, have problems with the demands of society and when overworked. Resists change due to the fear of losing certainties, requiring more and more certainties such as insurance and locks.
Application:
Anemia, sleep disturbances, muscle cramps, tingling and numbness, sensitivity to weather conditions, rapid perspiration, barking cough (especially in children), too fast pulse, nervousness, headaches due to overexertion, growing pains, after much blood loss in surgery, restless legs, osteoporosis. In case of protein/milk allergy, an excess of coarse protein. Good to use during pregnancy. Children especially need a lot of this mineral to build a healthy body. Cramps in the legs, especially the calves. Neutralizes acidosis. Dead fingers and hands. Growing pains in children. It fills your `inside', i.e. . it gives you firmness and grounding, allowing you to be in your body and manifest yourself.
Note: In case of deficiency of this mineral, an intense craving for spicy foods occurs, especially ketchup, mustard and smoked foods.
Organ time: 11 p.m. - 1 a.m. - gallbladder.
Cell salt 3: Ferrum phosphoricum (D12)
Features:
Used on wounds and as a first aid agent in all acute situations. It is pre-eminently the remedy for injuries, especially for pain. It has a beneficial effect on incipient inflammatory processes and fresh wounds, but it also works on teething, which is still in its early stages. It can be taken preventively, to strengthen the immune system and the general resistance of the body. Ferrum phosphoricum is an essential component of red blood cells. It binds oxygen in the red blood bodies, allowing it to be transported up to the cells.
Character:
It is par excellence the mineral for your self-confidence and the Ferrum phosphoricum gives you the strength to cope with what comes your way. It strengthens the immune system; gives you decisiveness and lets you undertake. When disturbed by trifles; not being satisfied with life.
Application:
All kinds of inflammations, fresh wounds (it is then recommended to put dissolved mineral tablets in a poultice on the wound), earache, middle ear infection, tinnitus (circulatory disorders), pounding head (headache), lack of concentration, unable to tolerate strong sun. With fever up to 38.8°C (from 38.8°C the Potassium phosphoricum) and heat.
Note: Coffee, black tea and cocoa consume very high amounts of iron.
Organ time: 5-7 p.m. - kidneys.
Cell salt 4: potassium chloride (D6)
Features:
Potassium chloride is responsible for binding and building fibers in the body, these are an essential component of connective tissue. The largest reserve of this is located in the bronchi, therefore, when there is a large deficiency in the body, it is taken out of the bronchi, the protective layer comes off and a slimy cough ensues. The Potassium chloride is the mineral, which is necessary for the proper functioning of the glands and it binds chemical poisons. In case of lack of this mineral, the fluidity of the blood is reduced because it thickens due to the fibrous substances that are then released. It should be used in case of inflammations, which are in an advanced stage, specially when a disease has already taken hold and becomes chronic.
Character:
This is the mineral for letting go of worries about the future. Not being able to let go or still the thinking because feelings cannot be used. Being able to allow feelings and use them. Makes the mind more flexible. With fear of adversity and constant grinding of thoughts, especially regarding the future. Interfering a lot with others or just being completely inward.
Application:
Regulates the fluidity of the blood, hardness of hearing, tendency to obesity, swelling of the glands, mucous cough, rosacea (veins in the face), lumps of skin, red veins. Detoxifies the blood from both chemical and electromagnetic stresses. For chronic inflammation.
Note: Alcohol and blood overload consume very much of this mineral.
Organ time: 09:00 - 11:00 - pancreas (pancreas)/milt.
Cell salt 5: potassium phosphoricum (D6)
Features:
This is the best remedy for all symptoms of exhaustion of mental or physical nature. Of all Dr. Schüssler's minerals, this is the antiseptic par excellence because it renders incriminating substances harmless. This mineral is found in all brain and nerve cells, in the blood and muscles and is an indispensable energy carrier. In the body, it binds lecithin.
Character:
Gives the strength and ability to work under pressure. Being able to take and bear responsibility. Being able to take rest in time and not always rush on until exhaustion results. For despondency, timidity, fear, agoraphobia and exhaustion. When you feel that too much is demanded of you; annoyances that you find difficult to put aside. Taking on all the responsibility and adding more every time or not being able to take responsibility.
Application:
To repair; mouth odor (which does not go away by brushing teeth), bleeding gums, receding gums. To be used in cases of high fever (above 38.5°, if this does not help then add Calcium phosphoricum and Calcium sulfuricum). Often a deficiency of Potassium phosphoricum is accompanied by a constant feeling of hunger, even immediately after eating.
Note: Take abundantly before, during or after special efforts to replenish the reserves that have been used up. Together with the sodium chloride, the potassium phosphoricum ensures the build-up of new tissue.
Organ time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. - small intestine.
Cell salt 6: potassium sulfuricum (D6)
Features:
This mineral (together with Ferrum phosphoricum) is an indispensable carrier of oxygen and thus promotes the regular renewal of cells. The oxygen is brought to the cell by the Ferrum phosphoricum, the Potassium sulfuricum provides the oxygen in the interior of the cell. Moreover, it is an important mineral for the functioning of the pancreas. It is mainly used when the metabolism is hindered or has become sluggish, especially for "intractable" cases. When a health problem or disease has become chronic and it no longer really wants to heal. But also for health problems that are "not so obvious". On the skin surface, Potassium sulfuricum is needed for pigmentation. (Tanning.) Together with Calcium fluoratum, it forms the top layer of skin. It is best to use this mineral simultaneously with a double amount of Sodium sulfuricum (No. 10). (Better drainage.)
Character:
Important for processing mental strain, which is often related to the environment. Makes mentally strong and resilient. Makes you act in a controlled way and gives you the overview. When you are afraid you won't get everything done on time, be in a hurry and impatient. When there is a big deficit, you start to cling to your habits.
Application:
Enables you to regain your health, especially after a period of overwork. It is the mineral for the pancreas and can therefore be used in the first stage of diabetes, when the pancreas no longer makes enough insulin due to overwork. Potassium sulfuricum provides relief from an oppressive feeling in the stomach after too much food or too much coffee. You can also use this mineral for nausea and vomiting. (Then only rinse in a solution of water in the mouth.) In case of yawning hunger, strong need for fresh air, claustrophobia - fear of scary spaces (elevators, tunnels), psoriasis, skin diseases, pigmentation (including vitiligo), sensitive to moisture.
Note: Potassium sulfuricum is an oxygen carrier. It is indispensable for regular cell renewal and works out the harmful substances. When you feel like you have a flu that won't go away.
Organ time: 01:00 - 03:00 - liver.
Cell salt 7: Magnesium phosphoricum (D6)
Features:
This mineral is partly responsible for building the bones. Magnesium phosphoricum controls the vegetative nervous system and thus affects the heart, nerves, circulation, glands, digestive organs and metabolism.
All activities of the body, which are controlled independently of its own will, the involuntary activities of the body, are controlled with Magnesium phosphoricum. Indirectly, it also influences the basic chemical processes of the body. For all suddenly occurring, stabbing, drilling and spasmodic pains, Magnesium phosphoricum is the probate remedy.
Character:
Feeling unappreciated, often with a tendency to blush. Pressure and stress from society, helplessness, being disoriented and unable to relax. The thoughts cannot be released and often keep spinning like a broken record, with no specific concerns. For lack of self-identity. For all stress situations and addictions.
Application:
Neutralizes the effects of excitement, tension, stress, electro-smog, etc. With strong electromagnetic load (electrosmog), the body consumes very much of this mineral. In case of bad mood, morning mood, stage fright. Especially the craving for chocolate is an indication of the deficiency of this mineral. This is unprecedentedly the best remedy for involuntary cramps (abdominal pains, colic, menstrual cramps, migraine in the early stages), sudden shooting pains, lumpy feeling in the neck. In cases of sleep disorders, it is a good soporific and wake-up remedy. (It makes the light go off and it comes on again.) In case of problems with sleeping through, use Calcium phosphoricum. Bloating. Works well for itching.
Note: Magnesium phosphoricum works particularly well as a "hot 7" at the onset of migraine, menstrual pain and tension. For this purpose, 10 pieces of this mineral are dissolved in warm water, which has boiled briefly, and drunk as hot as possible with small sips. If the migraine does not go away, take 10 Calcium fluoratum (no. 1) and 10 sodium sulfuricum (no. 10).
Organ time: 3 p.m.-5 p.m. - bladder.
Cell salt 8: Sodium chloratum (D6)
Features:
It is surprising that the very kitchen salt, which has a bad reputation, is a medicine. We often eat too much of it without realizing it. In highly diluted form, however, it works quite differently. Sodium chloratum promotes cell division and thus also leads to an increase in red blood cells. It binds mucus (mucin) in the body and is thus capable of building up all mucous membranes (including gastric mucosa). It regulates the body's heat and fluid balance and forms cartilage tissue and joint fluid. It acts on all parts of the body that are not supplied with blood, as they are absorbed into the cycle of metabolism by the moisture attracting action of sodium chloratum. It acts as a detoxifier in case of biological stresses such as insect stings and is therefore used for all allergies.
Character:
Disappointment is the main theme this mineral deals with, doing everything that is expected of you and still not being able to satisfy the other person, not belonging. Acting to meet the expectation of another and having to know an answer to everything. Feeling lost in the crowd. Quickly sad with feelings of depression and feelings of loneliness. Having trouble processing grief and loss. Not showing emotions and holding on to them.
Application:
Main remedy for all allergies, including hay fever. In the deregulation of fluids; colds with dripping nose (watery); problems with the sinuses; sensitivity to cold; sensitivity to drafts, damage to the vertebrae; damage to cartilage. To be used for burns in the form of a mash or as a cream gel; also to be used externally for mucous membrane and/or frontal sinus problems. Flaking on the head, cold hands and feet, bladder and kidney infections, noisy joints (cracking of joints), gout. Much or little thirst; very burning secretions; watering and/or itching eyes; edema. Acid regurgitation (when it burns at the top of the esophagus). Loss of smell and taste. High blood pressure possibly together with Potassium iodatum (No. 15). (Do not forget to consult a physician!).
Note: Deficiency of this mineral results in strong cravings for salty and highly spiced foods. Much of the Sodium chloratum is consumed by psychosocial stress (e.g. television).
Organ time: 05:00 - 07:00 - colon.
Cell salt 9: Sodium phosphoricum (D6)
Features:
This mineral promotes the secretion of uric acid through the kidneys. It also regulates fat metabolism and is responsible for the breakdown of sugar. Sodium phosphoricum is a general remedy for almost all diseases of a rheumatic nature or those related to excess acidity. A deficiency of this mineral leads to acidification with its attendant consequences, such as weakened immunity, non-healing wounds ("everything" easily ulcerates), unexplained hunger, a dip in the afternoon. Not becoming active until late in the day. In addition, the filtering capacity of the kidneys is heavily burdened by such acidification, and the lymphatic system is put to the test. In such a case, swelling occurs. For young people with blemished skin and pimples due to acidification caused by tension, arising from insecurity about oneself.
Character:
Suppressing and not expressing your heat, being cool is in. Unable or afraid to bring out your feelings. Uncertain about your path and life. The mineral helps you to shape your own life and express your warmth. When you have trouble being alone and are especially active at night. With problems with changes. When deficient, temperature increases no longer occur with illnesses and diseases such as rheumatism and gout arise.
Application:
For heartburn (at the bottom of the stomach), rebounding acid, obesity, rheumatism, sebaceous problems, blackheads, acne, swollen lymph nodes, oily/dry hair/skin, chronic lethargy/fatigue, unexplained hunger (when one suddenly needs to eat), cravings for sweets, fatty foods, and flour dishes. Acid-smelling body secretions (sweat, urine, diaper dermatitis), orange peel and stone formation. A draining mineral in environmental pollution and in disturbances caused by radiation from e.g. transmission towers. Also particularly good to use during long car journeys.
Note: Diet has an extraordinarily large influence on acidity! A deficiency of Sodium phosphoricum creates a need for sweetness. Sweet gives acidity. This is also an important mineral for supporting the liver, bile and colon. It also regulates sugar metabolism.
Organ time: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. - circle meridian.
Cell salt 10: Sodium sulfuricum (D6)
Features:
Unlike Natrium chloratum (No. 8), which carries the proper amount of water to the body cells and makes poisons excretable, Natrium sulfuricum promotes the excretion of all fluids in which harmful substances are dissolved. In fact, harmful substances remain dissolved in the body so that they do not become a burden on the body. These harmful substances must be broken down by the liver so that they can be excreted through the colon. Sodium sulfuricum is the active substance that gives the body the power, to modify the fluid-binding snails in such a way, that they can be excreted. During this process, water is released from its chemical compound and can be excreted or used for other purposes. Thus, Natrium sulfuricum is the ideal remedy for detoxifying the body and excreting toxic substances. Therefore, it is also an important supporting component for the liver and bile, and it also regulates sugar metabolism in the body. In case of a deficiency of this mineral, sloughing occurs in the entire connective tissue of the body and causes e.g. swollen feet, lower legs and hands.
Character:
When you tend to push your feelings away and avoid showing strong emotions such as anger, annoyance and aggression, this mineral provides a healthy strength to cope with life's challenges. Let life flow or control it? When a passive attitude toward life has developed, "leave me alone" and wanting to withdraw from the harshness of society.
Application:
This is the mineral to detoxify and detoxify. Active on the liver and bile. At diarrhea, smelly farts, heavy feeling in the limbs (at e.g. an incipient flu), swollen eyes (especially early in the morning) and tear bags, headache due to poisoning (hangover), pulling and painful joints. For bedwetting, together with Potassium -aluminum sulfuricum (No. 20).
An important remedy for high sugar levels (not without medical supervision). Swollen legs; regulates blood fluidity (withdraws unnecessary water), pressure in the ears, open legs, itchy skin, biting eczemas; warts, fever blisters and herpes (lip balm!). Lymph cleansing and radiation draining.
Note: Complaints arising from not being able to adequately discharge waste products. Good to use when beginning to feel the flu. Electromagnetic stress, alcohol, tobacco and coffee intensify the deficiency.
Organ time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - heart.
Cell salt 11: Silicea (D12)
Features:
There is a high content of silica in all cells of the human body. This is the most important mineral for the strength of connective tissue, especially skin, hair and nails. A deficiency leads to brittleness or shrinkage of this tissue. This can be seen especially in the skin, hair and nails. A good recovery after a bone fracture is related to a good supply of Silicea. Always use Silicea if there is a risk of tearing or breaking of connective tissue (pregnancy, tendency to inguinal or umbilical hernia). Silicea also acts on the connective tissue of the eyes. If deficient, extreme photosensitivity can occur. The skin is one of the body's most important excretory organs. If the body's excretion of waste products occurs through excessive sweating (unpleasant perspiration of feet and hands), there is a deficiency of Silicea. Silicea regulates the conductive capacity of nerve pathways. It promotes circulation in those places where waste products have remained in the body.
Character:
When you have learned to turn yourself off to perceive your surroundings, due to lack of confidence in yourself. Hypersensitive to your environment. When as a child you heard for example: if only you had not been born. The Silicea gives self-confidence and ensures, that you can start indicating your limits, so that you can meet the demands that are made. When there is an excessive desire for harmony. Difficulty facing confrontations. Always "pleasing."
Application:
Weak connective tissues, sensitivity to light and sound, pulling eyelids, bad hair (split ends) and bad nails (come off layer by layer), pain from sciatica, smelly sweat (foot sweat), sweaty hands, internal festering (in connection with Sodium phosphoricum), stretch marks, inguinal hernia (sometimes surgery is necessary!). Quick bruising. For wrinkles and crow's feet, use externally as a cream gel.
Note: Using Silicea releases the acids stored in the body. Therefore, always use together with the Sodium phosphoricum (No. 9), otherwise, due to the release of the acids, an attack of gout can be caused. Do not inhibit sweating, as this may cause kidney stones.
Organ time: 03:00 - 05:00 - lungs.
No. 12 Calcium sulfuricum (D6)
Cell salt 12: Calcium sulfuricum (D6)
Features:
Found mainly in the liver, bile and muscles, this mineral acts as an expectorant and promotes excretion. It is fuel for the cells of connective tissue. It liquefies the acids trapped in the connective tissue, promotes the permeability of the tissue and thus helps reduce bruising.
Character:
All or nothing character, whoever is not for me is against me. Being trapped in fixed structures, this can be at school, with the parents, by laws or as a result of the institutions. For example, a son who still lives with the mother and for whom the mother determines everything. Unable to cope with restrictions, trapped in rules. Calcium sulfuricum softens both obstinate children and petulant and contrary persons. Blocking by fear.
Application:
Stuck cold, festering tonsillitis and laryngitis, chronic bronchitis, rheumatism, gout, festering middle ear infection, festering fistula, abscess, open festering wounds and chronically festering wounds (must also be open!).
Note: After shock and/or accident, when life needs to get moving again. Contamination of the blood and liver with waste products, chronic open inflammation.
Organ time: 07:00 - 09:00 - stomach.
Numbers 1 through 12 are the twelve basic salts. The numbers 13 through 33, the higher or supplementary cell salts, each support the different areas of action of the basic salts. In the application of a higher cell salt, it is therefore important to keep in mind the areas of action of the 12 basic salts that are set in motion by the application of a higher cell salt, and if necessary to support them.
Cell salt 13: Potassium arsenicosum (D12)
Features:
A deficiency predisposes to complaints of the skin, nervous system and mucous membranes. Values as a strengthening agent in weakness and emaciation, as it slows down accelerated metabolic processes. This mineral gives particularly good results in gastrointestinal complaints with diarrhea. Potassium arsenicosum should be added to skin complaints that are difficult to influence and do not improve with other cell salts. These include skin thickening, itchy eczemas, scaly skin rashes, caustic inflammation of mucous membranes, intense itching. Important remedy for women at menopause for stability and inner security.
Supports the pituitary and thyroid glands, which promote calcium production, which in turn is related to osteoporosis.
Application:
Paralysis and cramps. Chronic skin conditions and chronic skin diseases with severe itching.
Drowsiness, emaciation, general weakness. Complaints of kidneys, heart, liver, gastrointestinal tract, regulates and stabilizes muscles and joints.
Note: Deficiency may cause anxiety attacks, melancholy, irritability, restlessness, palpitations.
It is characterized by a feeling of thirst, fatigue and tingling in the limbs. The symptoms occur periodically.
Cell salt 14: potassium bromatum (D12)
Features:
Potassium bromatum is the biochemical sedative, with a strong action on the nervous system. Supportive in restlessness and sleep disturbances. In complaints of organs, such as thyroid and eyes, related to nervousness. A deficiency makes susceptible to complaints of the skin and nervous system. Not being able to leave anything out, but having to finish everything today.
Application:
Important mineral in thyroid problems, then use together with Potassium iodatum (No. 15). Works anti-inflammatory on skin and mucous membranes. Nervous facial disorders. Psoriasis. With regularly recurring headaches and migraines, especially with too much mental exertion, this cell salt should be taken additionally.
Note: Reduce the use of table salt as it inhibits the absorption of Potassium bromatum. Nervousness, manic depression, anxiety. For people who are internally restless but appear tired and lifeless on the outside or who are restless and nervous. In children: anxious, skittish, nervous and often with restless sleep.
Cell salt 15: potassium iodatum (D12)
Features:
This is the most important mineral for the composition of the blood and it is also the most important mineral for high blood pressure. It is the agent for the thyroid gland. It is present in almost all cells, but especially in the thyroid, liver, spleen, kidneys, stomach, skin, hair and nails.
Application:
In hypertension; activates the functioning of the heart and brain; in tendency to chronic skin and mucous membrane inflammation; promotes appetite and digestion. Also in arteriosclerosis and rheumatic swollen joints. Increased metabolism resulting in obesity or emaciation. In chronic convulsive scraping of the throat. Also in dizziness and sudden sweat outbreaks.
Note: Improves the defenses of the body and all inflamed joints. With a tendency to dejection, weepiness, almost depressed moods, palpitations, "wailing and complaining," mild irritability and restlessness. Old emotional wounds suffered in the past that are still unprocessed. Unable to tolerate rest and warmth. Growing children need a lot of this mineral. For thyroid problems start with 5 to 7 tablets per day the first week to 15 the eighth week. The Ferrum phosphoricum (No. 3), the Potassium bromatum (No. 14), the Lithium chloratum (No. 16), the Manganum sulfuricum (No. 17), the Zincum chloratum (No. 21) , and Selenium (No. 26) along with the Potassium iodatum support thyroid function.
Cell salt 16: Lithium chloratum (D12)
Features:

Loneliness, insecure and sad because you cannot manifest your strength.
Application:
In complaints involving the heart (e.g., stitches in the heart, palpitations). In inflammations of the urinary tract. Also in problems with the kidneys and adrenal glands, cystitis, urinary tract infections, arteriosclerosis. Headaches due to nervousness and due to rheumatism and gout. With heavy strain on the nerves.
Note: Deficiency is often accompanied by a high cough due to suppression of nervousness. (In potassium iodatum - No. 15 - this is the scraping of the throat.) In all allergic conditions. When deficient, melancholy, emaciation and total exhaustion occur.
Cell salt 17: Manganum sulfuricum (D12)
Features:
For iron deficiency, to improve and prolong iron absorption. Is often given together, in a half dose, with Ferrum phosphoricum (No. 3). Activates enzymes and is therefore involved in many metabolic processes. Stabilizes the immune system. Deficiency predisposes to complaints of blood vessels and circulation. Gastrointestinal function, spleen, liver and bile production.
Application:
For damage to cartilage, as it stimulates the formation of cartilage. Improves breakdown of acids such as ammonia. In varying rheumatic complaints, lack of energy, anemia, pallor. In arteriosclerosis by preventing the formation of plaque in blood vessels. In osteoporosis and diabetes, because a lack of manganese can affect glucose tolerance. In toothache, eyelid inflammation and liver problems. Also recommended during pregnancy to prevent manganese deficiency.
Note: Nervous weakness, poor memory and concentration due to being overworked. Fatigued, exhausted, in need of mental rest. In disturbances of personality (dementia, schizophrenia, manic depression).
Cell salt 18: Calcium sulfuratum (D12)
Features:
Supports liver detoxification. Exhaustion, accompanied by weight loss, despite yawn hunger. It is the main agent for the excretion of heavy metals.
Application:
Lack of resistance. Gout, rheumatism, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, bleeding in organs. Poorly healing wounds. Poor absorption of glucose in liver and muscles. Accumulation of mercury and lead (amalgam). In HEPAXEN, the remedy for detoxification, Calcium sulfuratum is an important mineral. The Hepaxen consists of: Potassium chloratum (No. 4), Potassium phosphoricum (No. 5), Potassium sulfuricum (No. 6), Sodium phosphoricum (No. 9), Sodium sulfuricum (No. 10), Potassium iodatum (No. 15), Calcium sulfuricum (No. 18), Cuprum arsenicosum (No. 19) and Zincum chloratum (No. 21).

Cell salt 19: Cuprum arsenicosum (D12)
Features:
Deficiency makes susceptible to complaints of the nervous system and muscles. It has proven itself in cramps of the central nervous system and as a support for the metabolism of the brain, especially in children and in Down syndrome. It is also important for iron absorption and thyroid function. Stabilizes the immune system.
Application:
Colic-like pains, especially in the gastrointestinal tract, with chronic headaches. A general feeling of cold. All kinds of cramping; shoulders and arms feel numb or weak. Diarrhea. Also to be used with deworming cures. For disturbances of melanin metabolism (vitiligo) use together with Potassium chloratum (no. 4), Potassium sulfuricum (no. 6) and Sodium sulfuricum (no. 10). May also be used externally. Supports iron deficiency, regulates cholesterol levels and helps with heavy metal poisoning.
